At Eagle River Whisky, we only make whisky. And in true Scottish style, all of our whiskies are made with 100% Barley.
Minturn
Peated Single Malt Whisky 750 ml
Distilled in Scottish style with imported peated barley and Colorado alpine waters. Aged 4 years in new American oak. This small batch whisky has been handcrafted for exceptional taste and richness.
We named the smokiest whisky in our lineup after our hometown, Minturn which was once dubbed “Smoky Town” for the cinder and steam from the bustling railroad lines.
DOWDS
Our Signature Blend 750 ml
Dowds is a hand-crafted blend of carefully sourced Colorado-distilled single malt whiskies.
Named in honor of Dowd’s Junction, where the Gore Creek joins with the Eagle River. Distilled from 100% Barley, aged 3 years in new American oak. Honey, vanilla and spice flavors combine in this hand-blended curation of all-Colorado single malts.
Gilman
A Single Barrel Limited Release 750 ml
Gilman is a single barrel limited release distilled from 100% Barley, aged 4 years in second-fill American Oak. This traditional Scottish-style whisky has delicate and nuanced notes of leather, tobacco and a slight chocolate finish.
This limited run is named for the abandoned town of Gilman, to honor those things that do not last. Once a bustling mining town, Gilman is now deserted. Perched precariously on sheer cliffs high above the Eagle River, along the winding road from Vail to Leadville, it is an astonishing sight. A reminder of the hardships of frontier life, ready to slip away,
Once this single barrel offering is gone, there is no more.
Pocket Water
Pocket Water is a portable, adventure-ready, smaller portion of Dowds.
200 ml
Pocket water is also a well-known fishing term referring to the section of a river where large obstructions, such as rocks or boulders, often disrupt the current and create "pockets”, or small pools in which trout lie and wait for food. Currently only Dowds is available as Pocket Water but soon all three varieties will be available in the tasting room and online.
Whisky created in a Scottish style with the crystal clear snowmelt of the Rocky Mountain Rivers. Our whisky is to be enjoyed slowly with good friends after a day spent out in the beauty of the Mountain West.
